I haven’t posted a blog in over two months. The reason being that my life has changed and I’ve changed.
Don’t get me wrong, everything is changing in really positive ways as I grow and develop as a person. However, any change is difficult and it has taken until now for me to start to find a balance again in my life.
There’s so much going on and so many opportunities to explore which is exactly what I want out of the position. However, I’ve been very aware that I can’t be campaigning and raising mental health awareness 24/7. It would be detrimental to my own mental health! Therefore my blog has taken a back seat.
Personally, 2017 has been a huge year for me. Since I started blogging in February I have grown immeasurably as a person. I am so hungry now to live my life to the full, to experience the world and to go for my goals with no limitations.
There are so many things that I want to achieve and experience in my life which I never thought I could before. It has been quite overwhelming to be honest. There are now so many possibilities that it has been hard to know where to start. So many things to do, so little time, so frustrating!
As things have settled I’ve realised that I miss blogging and I need to find a better balance and focus in my life – hence the redesign of my blog.
I still want to share my mental health story but my blog has to evolve to be much more than that now. It also has to become a place where I can focus on other interests & passions that are important to me.
It has to contribute to my well-being & not burn me out.
That’s why I am going to be sharing my passions for self-development, fitness, travel and photography with you too.
As well as raising mental health awareness, I want this blog to motivate & inspire me to continue to keep focusing on what keeps me well & makes me happy. Hopefully it inspires you too.
